President/Pro-Chancellor of CUIB pays a two days official visit to Douala Campus at Bonamousssadi
The President of Catholic University Institute of Buea Re Fr George Nkeze has wrapped up his two days official visit to the CUIB Douala campus located at Bonamoussadi beside Parcours vita
The two days visit from the chief executive officer of the Growth Mindset entrepreneurial university was intended to amongst other things get first-hand information on the workings of the Douala campus this far
During his two days visit, the president/ Pro-Chancellor had meetings with the different departments of the Douala campus as well as student government association-STUGA
Fresh from his long trip abroad as first President of the International Federation of Catholic Universities-IFCU and regional President for the same organization in Africa, Fr Nkeze also used his trip to unveil the theme of this academic year which is Mission, Myths, and realities
The university obtains its team from it’s yearly (every January) conference in the Association of Catholic Universities and colleges-ACCU based in USA where CUIB is a member
The university boss also used the opportunity during his enlarged meeting with staff, students and faculty of the university to unveil the new brand name of the university
According to him, CUIB will now be referred to as the Growth Mindset Entrepreneurial University. The President in his three hours discourse explains the reasons for the change of brand name which he says is largely due to the changing dynamics rocking the entire world
The visit lasted from the 11th-12th of April 2019
The Catholic University Institute of Buea-CUIB opened its first satellite campus in Douala in October 2018 and has about 300 students across four schools doing a wide range of programs.
