The information was made known to the public on the 19th of May 2019 during the official closing ceremony to end the 6 days growth Mindset Entrepreneurship and academic Fair organized by CUIB Douala Campus.
CUIB will now have the third campus one year after the university launches its first satellite campus in Douala at Bonamoussadi.
President/ Pro-Chancellor Rev Fr Nkeze George shortly after making the announcement said the CUIB Ubiquitous campus which will be based in Douala and will reach out to students who cannot make it to traditional classrooms due to work or other commitments.
Ubiquitous learning (learning everywhere), is a model the Growth Mindset Entrepreneurial University has been using for over a year now to ensure its students study anywhere at any time especially with the ongoing crisis which has affected schools in the South West and North West regions.
Speaking to students, staff, Faculty and an impressive audience during the colorful closing ceremony of 2019 fair, the President announced the appointment of the Pioneer director of the campus.
Dr. Felicitas Mokom who until that day was the Dean of the School of Information Technology was appointed pioneer Director of the CUIB Ubiquitous Campus.
The IT Expert with a wealth of experience in ubiquitous learning was tasked to get a “full-house” come 2019/2020 academic year for her campus..
“She is equal to the task and I am confident she will make that campus full” the President told the press shortly after her appointment
On her part, the pioneer Director of the CUIB Ubiquitous Campus Dr. Felicitas Mokom thanks the President/Pro-Chancellor for the trust and confidence bestowed on her and said she will do her best to take the campus to deserved level.
The pioneer Director equally adds that the world is fast changing and there is an urgent need for a medium where people can learn and be educated without necessarily coming to seat in classrooms and the Ubiquitous campus will be that solution
The CUIB ubiquitous campus will officially begin this 2019/2020 school year.
