SANS Program – CUIB Douala Campus

SANS Program

We currently offer both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources. The following Programs are offered in the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources:

Master of Science in Sustainable Agriculture, Specialty: Nutrition and Food Quality, Organic Crop Production, Organic Livestock Husbandry & Breeding, and Sustainable Agriculture and Development (2 years)

The structure is composed of 120 credits (ECS) equivalent 60 credits in the American System. The MSC degree is a research degree (Master with Thesis) that involves the preparation and defense of a formal thesis based on a project conducted by the student under the supervision of either a Senior lecturer, Associate Professor or Professor of the field.

  • Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (4 years)

SANR-CUIB satellite Douala offers an integrated program in Agriculture crowned by a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. The duration of the program is four years including Freshmen (year one), Sophomore (year two), Junior (year three and Senior (year four). A total of 234 core credits and 30 electives courses are required for graduation cutting across Agronomy and crop production, Animal Science and production, Food Science and Agribusiness and Extension. 

  • HND in Agro-Pastoral Adviser and Food Technology (2 years)

SANR-CUIB Douala offers an Agro-Pastoral Adviser and Food Technology. The duration of the program is two years including Freshmen (year one) and Sophomore (year two). It is a two year full-time degree requiring the successful completion of a minimum of 120 credits.

This program combines education in the fundamentals of crop, foods, soil, livestock and business management.  It is therefore focused on the integration of crop and livestock production principles that will create sustainable and organic farming and food systems. Students enrolled in this program are free to write the HND exam. At the end of their training, students are job and life ready. They have the possibility to continue with the BSc program.
