The School of Business (SB) was created as one of the Four Schools that took off upon the creation of CUIB in May 2010. School of Business has grown from strength to strength under the leadership of different Head of School and Deans: Mr. Njinjong Marcelus, Mme Achancho Elisabeth Espe Abia between 2010 and 2015. By 2016 the School was under the leadership of a seasoned Economist and Administrator Prof. Wilfred .A. Ndongko , assisted by Acting Vice Deans: Mr. Mbohjim Othniel Mobit and Mr. Atonque Elvis Tanyisoh. By 2016/2017 academic year, the School in its full strength had over 550 students, 18 dynamic and inspiring lecturers and 3 Staff. Later in 2016/2017 academic year, the leadership of the School was handed to Dr Louis Mosake Njomo. The leadership of the School reverted to Mr. Mbohjim Othniel Mobit this time as Interim Dean for SB Buea Campus for the 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 academic years. Early 2019 when the Douala Satellite Campus was created, the School of Business Douala Campus went operational with Mr Cyprain Mbou Monoji as pioneer Deputy Dean and later Interim Dean. Since the later part of 2018/2019 academic year, the School of Business Douala has been under the leadership of Mr Nsanyui Amstrong Bansah as Interim Dean. The enrolment of the School has been on the rise with about 350 percent growth between the academic years 2010/2011 and 2014/2015. In 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 the School grew to over 570 students.  About 60% of the students are female and about 10% international students from Nigeria, Chad, and Equatorial Guinea.  The School of Business Douala has an enrollment of about 150 students. SB has partnership with with top universities in Africa, Europe and the United States of America.  Some of these universities includes:  University of Lagos – Business School  (UNILAG); University of St Thomas Opus College of Business (Minnesota – USA); Vivre University in Belgium.

The Dean is directly responsible for managing the School of Business. He ensures high academic standards of both qualitative and quantitative teaching and research through the development of highly competitive curricula to address industrial and community needs. He ensures corporate forums for research and innovations in Business or partnership with Industries and Organisations. The Office of the Dean works in collaboration with the School Board comprising of Faculty of the School. The Board meets at appointed time based on the school calendar or summoned by the Dean to review or vet examination questions, deliberate and approve examination results at the School level. The Office of the Dean works with different Universities and Organisations and has established partnerships as those above.
